Further Information
Northumberland County Council is seeking a business and community engagement officer to join its established iNorthumberland programme team.  The Council's iNorthumberland programme seeks to provide improved broadband services to homes and businesses across Northumberland.  Together with funding from Central Government over £20 million has so far been invested in the roll out of superfast broadband (defined as 30 Mbps or above) across Northumberland, meaning that over 93% of homes and businesses now have access to this service.

The role of this post is to promote the services to businesses and residents who are already able to access them in order to increase the level of take up within the county. The role will also involve working with communities in those areas that are not already served in order to develop community broadband projects and advise on suppliers and funding sources (including Northumberland County Council's funding).

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a programme that will make a long term impact on communities and businesses throughout Northumberland.

We are offering:
- A starting salary of £32,029 rising to £35,934
- Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (or other pension scheme)
- A wide range of staff benefits including a competitive annual leave provision
