We have two exciting opportunities to join our Housing Services where your role will support us to improve the lives of some of the residents of the city, by providing affordable homes that meet the Decent Homes Standards.

Housing Officer (Empty Properties)
37 hours per week - 2 years fixed term contract

The successful candidate will be required to implement and maintain a working partnership with landlords and housing providers, using different tools and incentives to return empty properties back into use for affordable units of housing.

Housing Officer (Affordable Homes)
37 hours per week - 2 years fixed term contract

The successful candidate will have experience in the delivery of and increasing the supply of affordable homes, using knowledge of S106 funding. Through partnership working you will build effective relationships with registered providers and developers.

Applicants will need experience of working in housing and delivering effective housing projects and a good track record of working with the private rented sector to drive up standards. You should be able to carry out research, interpret results, improve and monitor relevant data and intelligence and have a knowledge of S106 funds.
