The Youth Offending Service is a multi-agency team with representatives drawn from Children’s Services, Police, Health and Probation with the key aim of preventing offending and re-offending by young people.

You will play a major role in supporting the service to provide safe and effective youth justice services for young people in Darlington. You will be expected to hold a varied client caseload, you will be adaptable, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Knowledge of criminal justice legislation and experience in delivery of community justice is a key requirement for this post.

The successful candidate will have significant practitioner experience in working with young people and families within the criminal/youth justice system. A flexible approach to working arrangements is also essential as the post includes some evening and weekend working.
