As part of our drive to ensure children and young people with SEND in South Tyneside have the best start in life we are looking to recruit to a number of new posts.

We are looking to appoint an officer who will work within the Education and Standards Service. The prime focus of the role will be to support the Service Manager with the task of raising standards and improving the quality of SEND provision and Inclusive practice across all educational settings.

We are looking for someone who has experience as a senior manager or leader in a primary, special or secondary school. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and extensive experience of working with children with special needs and their parents.

The successful applicant will provide day to day advice, support and challenge in schools and will help to ensure that the service fulfils statutory responsibilities for pupils with SEND.
