This involves the coordination of statutory assessments including the writing of individual Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP), chairing and attending multi-agency meetings, liaising with colleagues in schools and all supporting services, and communicating decisions from SEND Panel meetings to parents and carers. The team also coordinate the Annual Reviews of EHCPs in conjunction with schools, attend meetings, amend Plans and ensure input of data and accurate record keeping.

The Postholder would be assigned to a Coordinator and be responsible for the statutory processes within a partnership(s) of schools in Northumberland. The post holder would play a vital part in contributing to the delivery of a high quality service that promotes the inclusion of children and young people with SEND in schools and their communities. Excellent communication skills, ability to work to deadlines and a good working knowledge of SEND and relevant legislation will be essential to this post.
