We are looking for an experienced and dynamic social work practitioner to manage a team of Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) within our Children’s Safeguarding Standards Unit (CSSU). With significant experience of children’s social work, including child protection and services for looked after children, you must be capable of promoting best practice and have an excellent understanding of how we work with families to create lasting change. An effective decision maker you must have a strong focus on performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement to ensure children and young people are receiving the right support at the right time.

The post will manage a team of IROs and report to the Service Manager for the CSSU. You will work alongside our Social Work Services and help us to continue to shape and deliver our wider transformation programme. You will not have children’s cases allocated to you.
