An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Highways Development Engineer to work within Transport and Contract Services.

The successful candidate will provide road safety, highway, traffic and transport advice and comments on development proposals within the County.

They will investigate and respond to planning applications and general enquiries to meet deadlines as well as preparing written reports and representing the Authority at planning appeals, hearings and public inquiries.

Applicants should hold a Degree or Incorporated Engineer in civil engineering, transport planning, transport modelling or related subject OR Membership of a relevant professional body or equivalent approved highways development management qualification.

Interviews are scheduled to be held on a date to be confirmed.
