We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional to deliver number of Social Work interventions for people who experience severe and / or enduring mental health difficulties.

We currently have a full time, permanent vacancy within North Durham Psychosis Team.

North Durham Psychosis Team provides an integrated health and social care approach when supporting people with complex mental health problems and their carers. Staff members provide statutory and specialist interventions on behalf of both Durham County Council and Tees Esk and Wear Valley’s NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team of workers who are committed to provide a flexible and effective service to people with psychosis and social care needs.

You must have an up to date knowledge of current legislation and Policies/ Procedures in relation to Adult Health and Social Care.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Social Work qualification i.e. Degree, DipSW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent and either be a qualified AMHP or be willing to train as an Approved Mental Health Professional within specific timescales. You also will be required to be trained, or be willing to undertake a Practice Educator course.

Applicants must hold Social Work England registration and have the relevant post qualifying experience.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure Barring Service- Enhanced Disclosure.
