The Council and the Tees Valley Combined Authority have ambitious plans to create 25,000 net jobs in the region over the next 10 years. Darlington has many exciting opportunities especially in key growth sectors of Biologics, Business Services, Sub Sea, Advanced Engineering and Logistics.

Darlington has key strategic transport connectors to the Tees Valley in the form of the Teesside International Airport, Darlington Station that is served by the East Coast Main Line and Trans-Pennine services and the A1/A66 strategic road network.

Darlington has ambitions to create 8,000 net jobs and over 10,000 new homes over 20 years and we need a positive and motivated individual who can lead our Business Growth and Investment Team to deliver.

You will need to be an ambassador for the Council in working with business Chief Executives and Directors to manage relationships and facilitate business and job growth. You will need to influence and contribute to the new Tees Valley Combined Authority which is taking a strategic lead on the Economy and Skills agenda.

You will need to have a good working knowledge of the issues facing businesses and potential solutions to unblock barriers to growth. Can you make the difference between a good idea and delivering it?
