As part of the Contracts & Commercial team, you will coordinate the efforts of area based technical and front line staff to effectively develop and implement Countywide waste minimisation, education and awareness raising programmes to assist with the delivery of the Council's waste strategy.

You will have the lead responsibility for the day to day running of the Household Waste Recovery Centre permit scheme and the kerbside garden waste collection scheme. You will be expected to work closely with staff from other Council departments and frequently come into contact with members of the public, so the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

This is a permanent, full time position

Essential requirements:
-Degree in relevant subject
-Theoretical, procedural, and practical knowledge relating to the service
-Significant experience of developing and implementing effective multi-media communications activities
