We are looking to appoint a permanent tutor to join our experienced, enthusiastic team.

We are keen to hear from you if you have:
• Commitment to high quality outdoor education and training.
• The ability to plan and deliver personal development programmes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• At least 3 years’ experience of working on outdoor programmes.
• A good level of competence in a range of outdoor activities.

Derwent Hill opened in 1962 and is owned by Sunderland City Council. Derwent Hill is widely regarded as one of the premier outdoor education centres in the UK. Our core purpose is to provide high quality outdoor education residentials to young people from Sunderland.

Derwent Hill also has a Training Centre and we provide a range of development training programmes for a broad range of corporate clients.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to a criminal record check from the Criminal Records Bureau. Derwent Hill safeguards students & staff by being committed to Sunderland Safeguarding Board procedures.
