Valley Gardens is a vibrant, successful and oversubscribed Middle School. Ofsted judged the school to be outstanding during our most recent inspection. We have a focus on pupil achievement and a commitment to developing our learning culture so that pupils are prepared for the 21st century world.
An opportunity has arisen for a PE Cover Supervisor to work alongside our team of teaching and support staff and to join our very successful Middle School. The successful candidate will preferably have a sporting background as he/she will be working largely with our PE Department. The post will entail involvement in our extra curricular and residential programmes as well as some teaching in other areas of the curriculum
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Deputy Headteachers and teaching staff to support pupils in and out of the classroom, including the supervision of whole classes during the short term absence of teachers. In addition the successful candidate will also be expected to support all aspects of school life and be a named First Aider.
A team player prepared to commit to the school, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative.
This post is fixed term for 1 year, 37 hours per week, term time only over 195 days.
