As Personal Advisor you will hold a case load of care leavers providing 1.1 support and undertaking the role of the Personal Advisor as described in the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and the new Children and Social work Act 2017. This includes reviewing and updating pathway plans on a 6-monthly basis.

The skills and abilities we are looking for include the following:
• Be passionate about improving the life chances of young people.
• Enjoy working with and understand the needs of adolescents.
• Be a good team player and be able to work on your own initiative.
• Be able to work well with other agencies and utilise community resources for the benefit of young people.
• Have an understanding of the role of the Corporate Parent.
• Be qualified at a minimum of Level 3 Child Care or related field.
• Knowledge of the legal framework in which children’s services operate
• Excellent organisational skills and abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
