Further Information
Are you a catalyst for change?

Do you enjoy collaborating to make a difference to people’s lives?

Do you thrive on providing high quality research and insight to drive policy and decision making?

We want to create a world where more people enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle. Across our region, we want everyone from Berwick to Blaydon to have equal opportunity to be active in their own way – particularly those who need it most – boosting health and happiness.

We are here to help our partners unlock the power of physical activity to change more lives across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear.

Physical activity does way more than raise your heart rate. It is proven to have a positive impact on physical and mental health, educational attainment, employability and social cohesion. We are here to enable our partners to harness physical activity, making it work hard towards achieving the life-changing results they are looking for across a wide range of projects.

Our mission is to enable our system partners to see things differently, work smarter and maximise their results. As an experienced and knowledgeable strategic agency, we will ensure that physical activity is part of a successful solution, playing its part in delivering a range of outcomes. We take a whole systems approach and push for change at a population level – so we think differently and challenge the status quo. We will share best practice, provide advice, guidance and support and connect our partners with like-minded allies to help make the most of their opportunities.

We will:

• Catalyse change - we believe that change is possible and we’re ready to lead the exploration.

• Positively disrupt - to challenge the norm and cause radical change through innovation.

• Collaborate - together we are greater than the sum of our parts.

We are looking for someone to join us who shares our vision, our values, and our appetite for change, who can also identify, digest and summarise complex data, research and insight from a number of sources, and effectively communicate insight-led recommendations to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to influence social change.

The successful candidate will contribute to the gathering, assessment and reporting of information which will contribute towards improving the planning, delivery and evaluation of sport and physical activity across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear.

This is a full-time role and you will be joining a small but experienced and dedicated team working across two offices based in Blyth and Washington but with plenty of opportunity to work flexibly.

And what better time to join us than on the eve of our exciting re-brand following the decision to bring together the legacy active partnerships of Northumberland Sport and Tyne & Wear Sport in order to maximise our impact. Watch this space for more details on our new identity...
