We have a passionate workforce who are committed to supporting children and young people to feel safe, healthy, happy and ready to learn and achieve. We respect everyone as equally valued members of our community by listening to their views and using their opinions to help shape our services.

Are you the right person to help us to develop a brighter future for our children?

If you share the ethos of Redcar and Cleveland’s Children and Families Directorate, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Pupil Inclusion Officer to join our busy Virtual School team working with children and young people in our care and previously in our care (LAC and PLAC). The main purpose of the role is to work in partnership with schools, parents/carers, pupils and partner agencies to improve educational outcomes. The successful applicant will have experience of working with young people.

Excellent interpersonal skills will be required to be able to successfully negotiate with a variety of people. The ability to be able to solve problems and plan and organise workload effectively will also be essential in this challenging role.
