As a Lift Technician Apprentice, you will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in Buildings and Facilities.

You will be working as a member of the lift section team.. You will assist with the administration within the whole section. The team complete repairs, servicing and installation of lifting equipment including lifts, hoists, stairlifts and hospital beds (and more. As well as learning administration skills you will gain experience of an industry which is very exclusive.

The apprenticeship will be based at the council’s Meadowfield Depot but you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.

You will be studying towards the Business Administrator Level 3 via the council’s training provider, Adult Learning and Skills Service (ALSS).

You must either have or expect to achieve 4 GCSE’s at Grades A-C/9-4 or hold an equivalent and relevant qualification, together with good communication & IT skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
