As a Civil Engineering Technician Apprentice, you will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in Highway Services.

The structured training programme will enable you to gain experience, further education and broad base skills within Highway Design, Structures Design, Street Lighting Design, Estimating, Programme and Planning with regard to the construction and maintenance of highways, street lighting and structures.

The apprenticeship will be based in County Hall, Durham but you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.

You will be studying towards the Civil Engineering Technician Level 3 via New College Durham

You must have or expect to achieve 5 GCSEs Grade A-C/9-4 including either English Language or Literature, Mathematics and a science subject or Level 2 in literacy and numeracy (or equivalent).

You must be able to manage your time effectively and be able to organise your workload.
