An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Council’s Housing Services for the role of Housing Options Manager.

The role of the Housing Options Manager is to work alongside the Senior Manager Housing Operations and the housing management team to deliver an effective and efficient Homelessness, Temporary Accommodation and Lettings Service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-quality Housing Options Service with a team of 4 team leaders and 40 frontline officers and will have a proven track record in effective people management.

Applicants will need:

• Experience of delivering housing for vulnerable people and detailed knowledge of preventing homelessness.
• Up to date knowledge of Housing and Homelessness Legislation and ability to handle complex cases.
• Experience of managing a Housing Lettings Policy.

You will have relevant experience gained in a housing environment and have a track record of working with a range of housing providers, and other key stakeholders to ensure there is suitable accommodation for housing needs.

You will be skilled at motivating others, building relationships and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a proven ability in influencing and negotiating to deliver service improvement results.
