The Participation, Advocacy and Engagement team are looking to employ several casual workers to support the work of the team. The posts will be working with vulnerable children and young people and the post holder must have experience of working with children and young people in care of the local authority / care leavers / other vulnerable groups of young people.

The aim of the roles will be:

• To support the consultation, participation and engagement systems in relation to young people in the care of the local authority, and vulnerable children and young people.
• To ensure good quality information on services for looked after and vulnerable children and young people
• To ensure young people who are entitled to it have access to advocacy and complaints procedures
• To work with young people in the care of the local authority, and vulnerable children and young people to gather their views and to have a strategic voice.
• To undertake independent return interviews with children and young people as and when required.

You will be required to travel across the authority and possibly wider.

These roles are fixed term for 12 months.
