The Governors of our small and friendly school, Forest Hall Primary School, are looking to expand our team of enthusiastic, adaptable and hardworking support staff by recruiting an additional teaching assistant to work mainly in KS1 until July 2021.
The post is for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant working full school days, 8.30-4pm with breaks, Monday to Friday. It is a fixed term contract due to end in July 2021 with a possibility that the role will be made permanent. The post is term time only over 195 days.
The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience in working with children in Key Stage One aged 5-7years and have an understanding of how they develop and learn. In joining the KS1 team, he/she will work with groups of pupils in and outside of the classroom supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum. The role includes daily yard duties, preparing learning resources and developing stimulating learning environments, sometimes in a team with other teaching assistants.
Experience in delivering Read Write Inc phonics programme and a first aid qualification would be an advantage.
