Evolve Fostering (formally known as Beta Foster Care) are looking for an experienced and motivated supervising social worker to join our established team. Evolve Fostering are based in Newton Aycliffe, and cover the Tees Valley, South Durham area,
As a supervising social worker, you will be required to attend and participate in team meetings, Looked After Children's review meetings and professional meetings that involve working with partner agencies in relation to care planning for children who are looked after.
You will benefit from a supportive and visible management team, and you will be allocated a manageable caseload, in addition you will be provided with regular reflective supervision.
A full driving licence is essential as you are required to complete home visits to foster carers and attend professionals’ meetings, there will also be occasions when you are required to work outside of normal working hours.
The successful candidate will participate in the foster carers out of hours on call rota, which is primarily telephone support, although on occasions a home visit may be required.
Applicants must have a social work qualification (SW Degree or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England.
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
