The Governors are seeking to appoint with immadiate effect a HLTA to add to the staff team at Dryden School.

This post will be to add support to a strong school team. As with all posts in school, you must have the flexibility to work anywhere in the school. At present this post is to support an individual pupil in KS3.

We are looking for a successful and enthusiastic HLTA with determination to make things happen, to join our well-established, experienced and supportive
staff. Experience of working with young people with severe learning difficulties is required.

We need you to be:
• Committed, creative and enthusiastic
• Able to work as part of a team
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A good classroom practitioner-working in partnership with the class teacher
• Take responsibility for planning challenging learning objectives
• Use your initiative to assess and evaluate pupils’ needs, and leading the delivery of learning activities
• Able to lead work with individuals or small groups of pupils
• Able to demonstrate good behaviour management skills.
• Able to respond to a wide range of special needs and provide support to all pupils
