We are looking for an exceptional, enthusiastic and creative child focused manager to run one of our Residential Homes, working with young people with complex and additional needs and effectively extending these skills to the young people’s families/carers and professionals.

This post is based within one of our Residential Homes, caring for children who are looked after by the Local Authority. We also have a Short Break Centre for children with a disability.

The overall aim of the Registered Manager is to ensure the smooth running of the home in line with the Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations including the Quality Standards which is monitored by Ofsted.

You will act as a corporate parent for Looked After Children and will be responsible for the day to day management of the home, ensuring a 24 hours, 7 days a week provision.

We are looking for an assertive champion for Children in Need, who will ensure young people are nurtured, happy, healthy and safe from harm, able to develop, thrive and fulfil their potential.

Applicants should hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or a suitable equivalent qualification, with approximately 5 years’ recent experience of working with children and young people in residential care and approximately 2 years management experience in a residential care or related setting, including performance development.

This post involves shift work, sleep overs and weekend working.
