The Business Support Officer role is to provide an effective secretarial and administrative support service to Social Care staff in both the Adult Mental Health and Older People's Mental Health Teams. This is a permanent full time post.

The post involves answering telephone calls, collating and processing manual and electronic information, inputting, updating and retrieval of information from systems and data bases pertaining to Adult Social Care Services and Tees, Esk and Wear Valley Mental Health Trust; typing of reports, filing and record keeping, including sorting and distribution of sensitive and confidential information.

The post includes responding to and ensuring a timely response to queries and timely communication with colleagues from internal and external partner agencies as well as dealing with unexpected and sensitive customer queries or situations.

The successful candidate will be able to deal with sensitive and confidential information, have excellent communication and coordinating skills; alongside demonstrating robust IT skills.

An awareness and understanding of Mental Health work would be beneficial but not essential. We are looking for an individual who is a team member who will be flexible to support the team and other colleagues in the service.
