County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) is seeking to appoint ambitious and forward-thinking individual to the position of Business Continuity Officer. We are looking for an inspiring individual, who is motivated by making a real difference through their work. The role will predominantly involve carrying out work, as directed by the Health and Safety / Business Continuity Manager to ensure CDDFRS has appropriate emergency planning and business continuity measures in place, so that the Service is compliant with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and other relevant legislation, standards and guidance.

The post holder will have proven experience working as a Business Continuity Officer role, or similar, preferably within a multi sited organisation. They will work with section heads, senior managers and other colleagues across CDDFRS to develop robust policies and procedures in respect of emergency planning and business continuity, leading in the planning, projects, exercises and training across the Service.

In return the post offers 26 days annual leave rising to 31 days after 5 years, flexible working hours, provision of uniform, sports facilities, car parking and a pension scheme.
