About the Role
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity within the Place Development & Investment Team. The team are responsible for the delivery of a series of Growth Plans across the borough. The plans cover a wide range of projects, from heritage projects, schools and public realm to name a few. The success of the plans will contribute to the overall development of visitor attractions and business growth within the borough. The team also promote these projects, and Redcar and Cleveland as a great place to live, enjoy and do business.
You will gain valuable work experience supporting the team
• General administration and team support tasks
• Updating a website and social media channels
• Storing and editing photos
• Providing support for meetings
• Support in organising events and materials
• General filing and copying
• Manage stationary including regular ordering
• Support finance system ( processing and raising orders, processing invoices, maintain logs and reports)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.

This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months. National Minimum Wage for your age will apply after the first year.

Apprenticeship Qualification
During your apprenticeship you will be working towards the nationally recognised Business Administrator, level 3 qualification at Redcar Adult Learning, based in Redcar College.

Essential Requirements
Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit.

You will need to have a minimum of:
Grade 4 (equivalent to Grade C or above) at GCSE English and Maths or functional skills level 2 qualification in English and Maths.

You will need to be committed/willing to work towards the level 3 qualification. Applicants who have already achieved Business Administration Level 3 or higher will be ineligible to apply.
