Social Worker – full time – permanent
An exciting opportunity has emerged to join Durham County Council’s Adoption Service. The
Adoption Service is responsible for the recruitment, training and support of prospective adopters, providing post adoption support services, and family finding for children with a plan of adoption.
The service continues to review the offer to prospective adopters to ensure it enhances their adoption journey and enables prospective adopters to support Durham County Council to achieve good outcomes for children who are at the centre of our practice.

Required qualifications: Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification, e.g. Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work (PDDipSW) Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), Certificate in Social Services (CSS) AND Current Social Work England Registration.
Applicants must have successfully completed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
