Community Equipment Services provides specialist equipment to support adults and children in living their daily lives. The service operates seven days a week, supporting people being discharged from hospital as well as those living in the community and delivers, fits, demonstrates, collects, refurbishes and maintains a wide range of equipment in both planned and unplanned situations.

The service has been identified as key to the management of out of hospital care and is undergoing a significant review in order to ensure its operating model is fit for purpose to deliver this challenge.

We are is seeking a temporary Service Manager to support the Business Manager in the delivery of the outcomes of this review whilst maintaining continuous levels of service throughout the winter.

Working closely with the health and social care clinicians who prescribe equipment, the post holder should demonstrate excellent customer care skills. They will have direct responsibility for the administration of the service but also support Team Leaders in overseeing the delivery, collection, refurbishment and maintenance aspects of the service. The post holder will be required to work flexibly and demonstrate a commitment to ensuring practise that is compliant with infection control guidelines.

There will be opportunities to influence and develop business processes and the service welcomes creative approaches to the management of resources in order to deliver excellent outcomes for our customers.
