We are looking to recruit an outstanding finance professional who has the ability to thrive in the fast paced and evolving climate of education finance, working with a variety of clients from maintained schools to multi-academy trusts.
This role will be suited to a high calibre and adaptable individual who is looking to develop their career further as a Finance Partner within a growing business. The ideal candidate can work flexibly across the school year, must have excellent communication skills, and be responsive to the needs of our clients. There will be travel involved in this role and the ability to travel independently is important.
You will have a proactive approach to financial management, offering our clients a dynamic, specialist service. You will work with our clients to provide financial support such as budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring, year-end account reconciliation, producing financial reports and presenting these to Trust Boards and Governing Bodies. You may also be required to assist in the academy conversion project management process and procurement exercises.
Avec is one of nine firms nationally selected by the Department for Education to deliver the School Resource Management Advisors (SRMA) programme. You will have the opportunity to undertake training and accreditation for the role of SRMA. As an SRMA you will undertake short-term deployments to offer advice and support on resource management in a wide range of schools and academies.

You will have:
• A relevant finance qualification e.g. CCAB qualified accountant or AAT qualified with significant recent financial experience
• Experience of producing complex budgets and year-end accounting
• Excellent communication skills
