As our current Head Teacher approaches retirement, the Governing Body are keen to appoint someone who can build on the strong foundations of our school and continue to support our school community in moving forward.
Our school currently has over 340 pupils on roll, with mixed classes in some year groups.
Battle Hill Primary School is a large, popular school which lies geographically and socially at the heart of the community. The school’s role is a particularly vital one in these difficult times, when staff have gone the extra mile to support local families, strengthening relationships even further. The school context of deprivation, with many families facing social and economic challenge, means that the effective use of Pupil Premium Funding is crucial for removing barriers to future attainment.
The school has been part of the North Tyneside Learning Trust since 2010 and is a Consortium school in North Tyneside SCITT programme. International Links are well developed and the school has achieved OPAL Gold Award.
We are proud of the way in which our school nurtures and supports our pupils, who all feel welcome and we strive to ensure that all develop academically and socially.
