North Tyneside Council’s Care Call service is looking to recruit a Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity and the successful post holder will have responsibility for supporting the Service Manager to manage and develop the Care Call service.

Care Call provides many key services for and on behalf of North Tyneside Council, this includes installation of tele-care, monitoring and responding to calls from telecare, out of hours call handling, sensory assessments and provision of equipment, managing and monitoring Jontek call handling system and ensuring call handling standards are in line with Telecare Service Association standards for response.

Ideally candidates should have a working knowledge of tele-care options and installation skills, call handling skills and knowledge of Jontek call handling platform or similar software. They should also have experience of working in a Supervisory capacity including Managing people.

The successful applicant will be required to work outside of normal office hours to support the 24/7 crisis response service and if necessary, pick up some front-line operational roles when required.

The Care Call service is committed to supporting customers of our service, their families and carers with appropriate tele-care installation and a tailored response to support people to live independently, well and safeguarded.
