Rowlands Gill Primary School

Are you an enthusiastic and talented teacher who would like to join a forward-thinking school and recently established leadership team? This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher looking to make the next step in their career as our Phase Leader with responsibility for Early Years and Early Reading and Phonics.

Rowlands Gill Primary School is a welcoming and rapidly improving school. We can offer you a warm and supportive environment, in which you can make a significant impact on the development of the school, but most importantly we offer delightful, enthusiastic children who will make you smile. In return, we are looking for a strong, driven teacher, who has current, successful experience of teaching Early Years and a genuine passion and flair for providing children with the best possible start to their education journey.

In Early Years we cater for children from age 3 to 5, with many nursery children accessing 30-hour provision. We currently offer an Early Years unit with Nursery and Reception children working together, however from September, with our growing numbers, we will be offering separate Nursery and separate Reception classes, both with their own large indoor learning environment and their own separate outdoor area.

We are searching for a caring, creative and dedicated Early Years teacher to lead, enrich and expand our provision, offering an excellent foundation for all of our children. We believe it is crucial for children to have the very best start in education and a successful transition into Key Stage 1 which is why we are recruiting a Senior Leader to this role. We would also like to further expand the skills and knowledge of our Senior Leadership Team to support our drive for whole school improvement. The Early Years Leader will become part of our English team, with responsibility for Early Reading and Phonics.

If you feel you have the relevant qualities and experience, we would love to hear from you.

Interested candidates are warmly invited to visit our school on Friday 26th March at 3.30pm or 4.30pm, or on Thursday 1st April at 4.00pm. Please contact the school office to arrange your visit. If these dates are not suitable, please contact the office and we will endeavour to accommodate another time. Visits are subject to COVID-19 regulations in place at the time.

Shortlisting will take place on Monday 19th April 2021.

Applicants who are shortlisted would be required to be available for a lesson observation in their own school on Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th or Wednesday 28th April 2021, subject to Covid-19 Regulations in place at this time. Interviews will take place on Friday 30th April 2021.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young children. If successful, you will have to apply for an enhanced Disclosure.
