Newcastle PE and School Sport Service is based at Benfield School in the east of Newcastle upon Tyne and is part of NEAT Academy Trust, a family of six primary and secondary schools.

At the heart of our trust is the aim to nurture, educate, achieve and transform the lives of all young people within the communities we serve across the north east. We have a national research school, which aims to build and strengthen networks of schools throughout the region and help them access effective education research and implement it in everyday practice.

Newcastle PE and School Sport Service are looking to employ reliable, self-motivated and enthusiastic Sports Coaches on a casual basis to provide support in the delivery of Summer Holiday Activity Camps. There could also be scope to work during term-time to support the delivery of PE in primary school settings as well as a range of programmes and events delivered by the Newcastle PE & School Sport Service.

We are looking for someone who has:

- Level 2 NGB coaching qualification in at least one sport of the following sports; football, rugby, tennis, badminton, gymnastics, cricket, hockey or netball
- In addition a Level 2 in Multi Skills is desirable
- At least a minimum of 3 months’ experience coaching young people or children in a sports activity or educational setting
- Ability to work both independently & as part of a Team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide feedback to children, teaches and parents
- Full UK Driving Licence & own transport
