The role of Building Services Surveyor is critical to maintaining and upgrading the Councils housing stock. You will be part of a small team working in the social housing sector to deliver a wide range of high value capital projects including major capital programmes, new build, planned maintenance, cyclical maintenance, large responsive maintenance work and asbestos management ensuring all projects are appropriately surveyed, specified, scheduled, procured and contract managed.

You will be required to lead on capital projects managing all aspects of the work from start to final accounts, this will include: , preparation of tender documentation, preparation of bills quantities, design specifications, valuations on contracts and measurement of works on site, carry out the PD role under CDM. In addition, preparation of claims contracts, schedules of rates, small estimates etc. for various clients.

You should have at least 5 years experience in the construction industry and a sound knowledge of both construction and building surveying techniques and practices, plus contract documentation and preparation. Previous experience of budget management is also essential.

You must be confident in the use of IT and capable of navigating through MS Office, Outlook and have knowledge and skills in the use of databases and Autocad.
