Gateshead Council’s Early Help Service is seeking to appoint two full-time Parent Outreach Workers to join our Children’s Centre team in providing a high-quality service to families with young children.

You will hold a relevant early years, health or social care Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification and have experience in the planning, delivery and evaluation activities for children and their families, including facilitation of group programmes. You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of child development and the issues faced by families, along with an ability to build effective relationships with service users and the many agencies involved with supporting families across the early help system.

Experience of planning and managing your own workload and working alone and as part of a team alongside knowledge of children’s centres statutory guidance, safeguarding procedures and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework is also essential.
