JOB DESCRIPTION: As an Apprentice Youth Worker, you will have the opportunity to ensure positive outcomes are achieved for young people and their families who have been identified as needing help and support through promotion and delivery of early help and preventative services. You will deliver restorative interventions building self-esteem and confidence in the young people you work with ultimately improving their life chances for the future.

Duties and responsibilities will include undertaking direct work with individuals, families and professionals providing support services that meet their individual needs. You will contribute to a range of meetings and will be required to accurately record such meetings and contribute to assessment plans with the aim to achieving positive outcomes for the young people.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:
• Functional skills English & Maths Level 2 / GCSE Grade C / 4 or above (or predicted grades)
• Excellent IT Skills – Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Organisational skills
• Be able to communicate in a pleasant and professional manner
• Flexible approach to work
• Self-motivated and high personal standards

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work for your studies, to work towards completion of a Youth Support Worker – Level 3 apprenticeship qualification. PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer-term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP DURATION: 21 MONTHS

SALARY
• Under 18 years old, £4.62per hour, £8,913per year
• 18 to 20 years old, £6.56per hour, £12,656per year
• 21 to 22 years old, £8.36per hour, £16,128per year
• 23 years and over, £8.91per hour, £17,189per year
