JOB DESCRIPTION: To assist the Community Transport team in the effective and efficient day to day functions associated with the provision of a safe, high quality, customer focused transport service. You will work towards completion of the below apprenticeship qualification whilst receiving valuable work experience.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:
• Minimum 5 GCSEs Grade C/4 or above or equivalent Level 2 qualifications (must include English & Maths)
• IT Skills – Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Good communication skills - listening, spoken and written
• Demonstrate the Council’s Behaviours which underpin the Culture Statement.
• Motivated and positive attitude

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend Leeds College of Building on Block Release (Travel & Accommodation will be provided) and work towards completion of the Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship – Level 3 apprenticeship qualification. PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP DURATION: 33 MONTHS

SALARY
• Under 18 years old, £4.62per hour, £8,913per year
• 18 to 20 years old, £6.56per hour, £12,656per year
• 21 to 22 years old, £8.36per hour, £16,128per year
• 23 years and over, £8.91per hour, £17,189per year
