Health and Life Sciences is an Area of Strategic Importance for the continued growth of our regional economy, and our vision is to position the North East as a leader in the development, testing, manufacturing and adoption of people-centred treatments, therapeutics and medicines at a time of demographic change.
By 2030 we want to see the number of jobs in the sector doubled from 12,000 to 24,000 by 2030 and to double the number of businesses active in the North East health and life sciences community from 150 to 300.
We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to develop and manage the delivery of this strategic programme. Although knowledge of the Health and Life Science sector is desirable, it’s not essential. What’s more important is that candidates can demonstrate an exceptional ability to develop, deliver and drive successful innovation, investment (access to growth capital and research and development investment) and business growth programmes.
