We are seeking to appoint an innovative and forward thinking Communications and Digital Media Manager to join the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland.

This permanent and important role will lead and manage the strategic and day-to-day communications and digital media requirements of the Cleveland Police and Crime Commissioner.

The design and delivery of an effective and efficient communication strategy is critical in ensuring that the PCC connects with communities through various communication and media channels.

Responsible to the Assistant Chief Executive, this role will:

• Lead, develop and implement a wide range of policies, plans and strategies in relation to internal and external communications, public relations, marketing, digital communications and social media.

• Oversee the identification of OPCC communications opportunities and risks, and develop strategies to maximise or mitigate these.

• Lead the development and apply innovative uses of channels of communication and social media.

• Manage the development and production of press releases, website content and other PR and media communications.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, have expert knowledge of social media and a proven track record of formulating and implementing effective communication strategies.

Working across a multi-functional and busy team, the role holder will develop and build strong working relationships with national, regional and local partners and stakeholders to shape ideas and concepts into deliverable plans and activity.

Further responsibilities include continual development of the PCC communications function, through effective analysis of insight data and seeking out new and innovative opportunities to positively raise the profile of the PCC and the Office across the communities of Cleveland.
