The Service
The Technical Planning team sits within Planning Services and employs approx. 20 employees to deal with a variety of administrative and technical duties relating to the planning process.

The Role
We are seeking to appoint 2 x Fixed term Technical Support Officer (CRT) to join our Technical Support Team with a focus on validating and registering planning enquires & applications for Planning Services, other duties will involve data input, uploading and redacting information, using GIS software systems, prepare and issue Planning Decision notices and to assist other professional staff members. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

You will need to be enthusiastic, with a positive, can-do attitude; enjoy supporting those around you, and be a real team player.

You will be responsible in providing administrative support to the various functions of the Planning Service. The role will be varied, fast paced, and requires a high degree of accuracy. We would like you to help us continue to develop our Service to an outstanding standard.

You will be responsible for organising your tasks in the most effective and efficient way possible and will report directly to the Technical Planning Officer (CRT).

-A starting salary of £20,092 -£21,748 (Band 4)

Essential requirements:
-Effective IT skills, aptitude with specialist software and able to use ICT to achieve work objectives
-Recent experience in DC or DM support or recent experience in a business support role, in a relevant context and service
-Knowledge of the operational and procedural issues relating to the Development Management service.
