Education Partnership North East has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic lecturer to join our ambitious and growing team within Access based at our Washington / Bede Campuses. If you are an individual who is passionate about delivering this life changing qualification through a career focused curriculum, then this is the ideal role for you!

There are currently five Access to Higher Education Diplomas delivered across the team:

• Access to HE Diploma Health
• Access to HE Diploma Counselling
• Access to HE Diploma Educational Studies
• Access to HE Diploma Social Care Studies
• Access to HE Diploma Humanities and Social Sciences

All learners complete level 2 ungraded units in English, Maths and Study Skills to prepare them for study at level 3 and will then complete five, level 3, graded units linked to their specialist pathway. We are particularly looking for candidates that are able to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment of Human Biology, Biochemistry and/or Maths.

The successful candidate will have a real passion for their specialist subject and will be enthusiastic about raising aspirations, developing confidence and encouraging students in the realisation of their ambitions to progress to Higher or Further Education. Working within a friendly, supportive and collegiate team, the successful candidate will deliver inspiring and innovative sessions to ensure that students have the knowledge and skills to progress to their next steps.

Applicants for this post should be able to demonstrate in their personal statement practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.
