An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Catering Assistant at 21 hours per week at the Dales Centre, Stanhope.

You will assist in the day to day delivery of the Catering Service providing assistance in the cooking and preparation of food, the serving of meals and ensuring the work environment complies with food hygiene regulations and relevant Health and Safety standards.

Your duties and responsibilities will include undertaking the basic preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages including the recording of food temperatures. Also, setting up of the dining/cafe area including the cleaning of tables etc.

Required Qualifications:
• Basic literacy and Numeracy
• Basic food hygiene certificate

You must have relevant experience in catering, relevant experience of cash handling and some experience of using IT packages such as Word, Excel and databases etc.

Your essential skills and knowledge will include catering equipment usage, relevant Health & Safety requirements and you will have good communication and food preparation skills.
