We are currently looking to recruit a Strategic Community Safety Officer to assist our Community Safety Team and support the Safer Northumberland Community Safety Partnership (CSP). You will be required to take a leading role in identifying and delivering our strategic priorities.

Working alongside our busy reactive investigation team you will help inform our responses to key issues that detrimentally effect our communities to ensure we are providing high quality support and deliver effective solutions to investigations of anti-social behaviour, crime and disorder.

You will also work in close collaboration with both internal and external partners to ensure that work of the Safer Partnership drives effective and successful performance to tackle issue such as hate crime, anti-social behaviour, exploitation and safety in public spaces including effective and proportionate use of CCTV provision.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate an understanding and experience of strategic project management, partnership working and policy development. You should have the ability to lead, manage and engage staff effectively, be able to build effective relationships with a wide range of agencies and partners and have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work using your own initiative. Experience of data analysis and trend analysis is essential, and experience of Strategic Intelligence Assessments is highly desirable.

- A starting salary of £32,910 (rising to £36,922)
- 25 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays (rising to 30 after 5 years of service)(pro-rata for part-time employees)
