Over the past 18 months Gateshead Council has prioritised its COVID-19 response efforts in order to protect our residents during the pandemic, and many of our leisure services staff continue to play a vital role in this.
As we ease out of lockdown, we have started a phased reopening of our leisure facilities and we are now looking to appoint to the following vacancies on a temporary basis to cover the post holders who are still redeployed elsewhere to support the continuing COVID-19 response:
We are recruiting casual Fitness Coaches to support the delivery of our fitness programmes at all Go Gateshead leisure facilities. Our diverse programme offers a range of disciplines including aqua, dance, spin, strength and cardio based sessions and we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated staff to join the team.
It is essential that you have knowledge of the leisure industry and customer needs within a group exercise session. Effective communication skills and customer service skills are also essential. You must be qualified to Level 2 Exercise to Music or Level 2 group exercise equivalent and have experience of planning and delivering group sessions.
