Full time 37 hours (Working from Home Policy allows Full Time & Part Time staff to request to work from home in line with the policy) – Full time staff are required to work at least 3 days onsite and can work up to 2 days at home. With their Line Managers approval.

Hambleton District Council is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join the ICT team focusing on managing and maintaining the Council’s software solutions, including system upgrades, patches, hotfixes, data extraction and reporting, respond to user issues and liaise with 3rd party support to resolve these issues.

Dealing with sometimes complex issues you will be responsible for many activities:

You will monitor applications using configuration, availability, capacity and problem management to ensure these important and critical applications are up to date and available at required times to the public and staff.

You will manage/assist with Oracle or SQL server related issues, create queries and scripting and be accountable for batch processes.

You will apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualization, identify, collect and migrate data to and from a range of systems.

You will manage, clean, abstract and aggregate data to provide and share insights with stakeholders.

A service focus to identify needs and deliver solutions to the stakeholders.

An ability to engage and collaborate with staff at all levels with good communication skills.

An understanding of core technical concepts related to the role and apply them with guidance.

Individual effort and teamwork are recognised and appreciated, both by colleagues and customers alike. We also offer extensive training and development opportunities including ITIL foundation training and relevant technical training identified.

The recruitment process will include a skills ability test alongside the formal interview. The successful candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure check in line with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (fee will be refunded)

The Council has introduced a new Home Working policy, which is available for this post, for example working three days in the office and two from home per week is now available.
