We have many reasons to be proud of our existing services for children, young people and their families in Redcar and Cleveland. We have a passionate workforce who are committed to supporting children and young people to feel safe, healthy, happy and ready to learn and achieve. We respect everyone as equally valued members of our community by listening to their views and using their opinions to help shape our services.

Are you the right person to help us to develop a brighter future for our children?

If you share the ethos of Redcar and Cleveland’s Children and Families Directorate, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

We are looking for a full time Performance Assistant for Children’s Services to collect, produce and analyse management information and statistical data for the Authority, external agencies and Government departments, to inform service improvement, programme priorities and evidence-based practice.
Working in a small team and for the Performance, Intelligence and Finance Officer, you will work with a broad range of partners to coordinate and collect appropriate data relevant to the delivery of the Supporting Families Programme and the Vulnerable Children’s Database. Your role will help secure the Supporting Families Payment by Results funding by tracking individual children and families to see if they have achieved their outcomes by working with our practitioners.

If you are experienced in managing and analysing databases and datasets (including excel) as well as having good communication and customer-service skills, then we would encourage you to apply.

Please note this post is initially for 2 years fixed term.
Interviews are planned for 29th September 2021.

The council holds ambassador status for the North East Better Health at Work Award.

We offer very attractive terms and conditions of employment, including generous annual leave entitlement, flexible working hours (where appropriate), membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and access to numerous other salary sacrifice schemes and staff benefits/discounts, including a lease car scheme.
