First Class Supply are working with a secondary school based in Newcastle. This particular school is looking to appoint a full-time Health & Social Care Teacher for 1 term (until Dec 21).
You will inherit a full timetable of mixed ability sets of Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 pupils. For this role, it is essential that you are an excellent classroom practitioner, and you must be able to teach across the full ability range. You must possess a clear passion for teaching Health & Social Care which can be shared with your pupils.
To be successful in this role you must:
• be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
• have the skills to make a significant impact on raising the quality of teaching and learning
• be proficient in planning, assessment and target setting so that all children make good or better progress
• be able to inspire and motivate
• be committed to raising achievement and standards
• hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
• have recent experience / knowledge of teaching Health & Social Care at Key Stages 3 and 4 within the UK National Curriculum.
