Harlow Green Community Primary is wishing to recruit a School Business Manager to begin this new role from January 2022.
We are a large school that caters for over 400 children within our local community. To support the Head Teacher and senior staff to further develop the school, we are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and pro-active individual who has the attributes and skills to lead and manage essential aspects of school business.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for Finance, Health & Safety, HR, GDPR, Premises and Administration. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the supervision and development of support services teams to ensure an efficient, safe, healthy, clean, attractive and comfortable environment is provided within budget whilst business aims and objectives are met and exceeded, where possible.
Take an integral role within the senior leadership team and support decisions by providing cost and implementation plans.
Understand the school finances and working strategically, alongside the Head Teacher, Governors and the LA School Budget team, to ensure the school is able to provide the highest quality provision.
Lead the administration of school so that communication, activities and events are all managed effectively and efficiently.
Take the leading role within school for Health & Safety, developing a comprehensive understanding that ensures that the school is a safe environment for all who access it.
Liaise and work with the PFI building company to create an outstanding environment for working and learning.
Ensure that all property, fixtures and fittings, grounds and other facilities are maintained to high standards of safety and security.
Support the senior leadership team to ensure that all resources, including personnel, are at the highest standard to support high quality outcomes.
In liaison with central HR function, oversee all local HR related procedures including maintenance of accurate and safe employment records and ensure that all HR processes, including safer recruitment are followed, are compliant and in line with the requirements of the regulatory bodies and company procedures and policies.
Take a leading role in establishing that the school’s data processes constantly meet data protection requirements, and that staff are trained to apply procedures effectively.
