Evergreen Primary School is a generic special school for primary age pupils who have moderate, severe, or profound and multiple learning difficulties or Autism Spectrum Conditions. The number of students currently on role is 193.
A permanent secretary is required to help in the main extremely busy school office.
The role of the successful applicant will combine the following main elements:
• will provide a secretarial and administrative service to the school and senior leadership.
• Be the first point of contact at the reception and on the telephone, and support the school in a wide range of clerical duties.
• Updating of SIMS (database)
• Use ParentPay for school meals, trips etc
• Maintain Pupil administration files
Experience of working in an education setting would be preferable.

Calculation of term time only plus one weeks’ pay
Term time only plus one additional weeks’ pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
• Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus
• Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
• One additional week, inclusive of CPD – 1 week; plus
• Individual leave entitlement - 5.2 weeks (26 days) or 6.2 weeks (31 days)
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 26 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 31 days annual leave. For example:
Calculation for employees with less than 5 years’ service:
39 weeks (term time plus 1) + 26 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 45.8 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
Calculation for employees with more than 5 years’ service:
39 weeks (term time plus 1) + 31 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46.8 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
