About ID Residential:

Building on the success of our residential home in Durham, our new home in Gateshead has been open for over 2 years. Set in a carefully chosen semi-rural location, the home provides excellent accommodation for five children/young people with SEMH. This allows for a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, where children and young people displaced from families can be supported to independence. The process is supported by a clinical team.

The starting salary is £21,632.00 with an incremental rise to £22,670.00 following successful probationary period (6 months). There is 1 full time vacancy available.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing evening and overnight care for children and young people. You will work as part of a dedicated, caring team to ensure the home is kept to a good standard, to include cooking, cleaning, administrative duties and of course safeguarding their welfare at all times.

We are looking for experienced people who have a passion for working with young people and Children and who really want to make a difference to their lives. Ideally candidates will have NVQ / Diploma Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent and at least one year’s experience working in residential children's home with young people with SEMH. You will have good written, verbal communication and IT skills.

Please be aware that you must be over 21 years of age to apply for this role. There is a requirement to work shifts. (These roles are exempt from the Employment Equality (Age) Regulation 2006.
